Welcome to WealthFold. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WealthFold website, web application, mobile applications for iOS and Android, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). WealthFold is operated by WealthFold, Inc. ("WealthFold," "we," "us," or "our").
Important: By accessing or using WealthFold, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You have read and understand these Terms in their entirety
- You agree to be legally bound by these Terms
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Your account is personal to you. You may not share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account. Each user must have their own account.

WealthFold is a personal finance management platform that helps you track, organize, and understand your financial life. Our Service includes:
Net Worth Tracking
Monitor assets, liabilities, and overall net worth
Expense Management
Track spending, create budgets, and categorize expenses
Investment Tracking
Monitor stock portfolios and investment performance
Goal Setting
Set and track savings goals and financial milestones
Retirement Planning
Plan for retirement with projections and calculators
Financial Reports
Generate reports and visualizations of your finances
Note: WealthFold is a personal finance tracking tool. Web App: Data is stored locally in your browser. Mobile App: Data is stored securely in our cloud database with end-to-end encryption. We do not connect to your bank accounts or access your banking credentials without your explicit permission.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree to:
- Use the Service for personal, non-commercial financial management
- Provide accurate information when using the Service
- Respect the privacy and rights of other users
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
- Report any bugs, vulnerabilities, or security issues to us promptly

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, including your financial data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process your content solely to provide and improve the Service.
Feedback
If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use and incorporate such feedback into the Service.
8. Payment Terms
Free Services
WealthFold currently offers a free tier that includes core personal finance management features. Free services are provided "as is" and may be modified or discontinued at any time.
Premium Services
We offer premium features or subscriptions ("Premium Services") for a fee. If you purchase Premium Services:
- You agree to pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
- Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or stated in our refund policy
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days notice to existing subscribers
- Mobile App: Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store and subject to their terms
Billing
Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors (Stripe for web, Apple/Google for mobile). By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information.
Cancellation & Refunds (Mobile)
For mobile app subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play Store:
- Cancel subscriptions through your App Store or Play Store account settings
- Refund requests are subject to Apple's and Google's refund policies
- Contact Apple or Google directly for refund requests
- Access continues until the end of the current billing period after cancellation

WealthFold is a personal finance tracking tool, NOT a financial advisor. The Service does not provide investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any other professional financial advice. Always consult with qualified professionals before making financial decisions.
AS IS BASIS: The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
NO WARRANTY: We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
ACCURACY: While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided by the Service.
THIRD-PARTY CONTENT: We are not responsible for any third-party content, products, or services linked to or integrated with the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
WealthFold and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
Our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
11. Termination
Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Delaware, and the language of arbitration shall be English.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other means (such as email) at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically for any changes. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last revised.

If you access the Service through a mobile application downloaded from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that:
- These Terms are between you and WealthFold only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple")
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the mobile application
- In the event of any failure of the mobile application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the mobile application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to the mobile application
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims you have or any claims of any third party relating to the mobile application or your use of it
- Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party claim that the mobile application infringes another party's intellectual property rights
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the mobile application (e.g., wireless data service agreement)
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary
